GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE (GTCS)
Last updated: 01/2026
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale ("GTCS") govern sales made on the website terravanilla.shop ("the Site") by:
SAS Madagascar Vanilla & Spice Trading
SIREN: 995 222 577 – RCS: Paris
Registred office : 149 avenue du Maine, 75014 Paris, France
Email: contact@terravanilla.fr
("the Seller")
The GTCS apply, without restriction or reservation, to all sales concluded between the Seller and any consumer or professional ("the Client") via the Site. The Client declares having read and accepted the GTCS by ticking the box provided for this purpose before confirming the order.
The Site is hosted by IONOS.
Products offered for sale are described and presented as accurately as possible (photos, descriptions, characteristics, weight, origin). Photographs are non-contractual (colour variations may occur depending on screen, batch, lighting). Offers are valid while stocks last.
Prices are indicated in euros (€), excluding VAT, and do not include delivery charges. The total price including VAT and delivery charges is shown before order confirmation. The Seller reserves the right to change prices at any time, but products are invoiced based on the rate in effect at the time of the order.
The Client selects products, reviews the summary, corrects any errors, and then confirms the order. The sale is considered final only after payment validation and sending of a confirmation email. The Seller reserves the right to cancel or refuse an order in case of previous dispute, suspected fraud, incomplete information, or unpaid amounts.
Payment is required immediately upon ordering via the methods offered on the Site. Payments may be processed by a secure payment provider. If payment is refused, the order is automatically cancelled.
Terms, zones, estimated delivery times, and charges are indicated during the order process. Delivery times are indicative (unless a firm commitment is made). The Seller cannot be held responsible for delays attributable to the carrier, without prejudice to consumer rights in case of significant delay.
The Client must check the condition of the parcel upon delivery. In case of anomaly (damaged, opened, or missing parcel), it is recommended to make reservations with the carrier and contact customer service within 48 hours with photos.
In accordance with the Consumer Code, the consumer Client has a period of 14 days from receipt of the goods to exercise the right of withdrawal, without having to justify their decision. Each product has a tamper-proof seal (condition for withdrawal/hygiene). Returns are accepted only if the packaging/seal is intact. Exceptions: goods likely to deteriorate or expire rapidly; goods unsealed by the consumer and which cannot be returned for hygiene or health protection reasons; any product whose integrity/seal/original packaging has been altered, preventing resale. Best practice for vanilla: provide sealed packaging (heat-sealed bag / seal / tamper-proof label). Thus: if seal is intact → return possible; if seal is opened / product handled → withdrawal refused (hygiene/health protection).
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the Client sends a request to Management@terravanilla.fr with name, surname, order number, product(s), date of receipt. The Client returns the products within 14 days after notification, in their original packaging, intact, unopened, to the address provided by customer service. Return costs: borne by the Client.
Refund is made within 14 days from receipt of goods or proof of shipment (whichever is earlier), using the same payment method. A deduction or refusal of refund may apply if the product is returned incomplete, damaged, opened, or unsuitable for resale.
The consumer Client benefits from: the legal guarantee of conformity (Consumer Code); the guarantee against hidden defects (Civil Code). Any request must be made by email to contact@terravanilla.fr, with order number, description, and photos.
The Seller cannot be held responsible for damages resulting from improper use of products, non-compliant storage (temperature, humidity, exposure), or unsuitable storage after opening. The Seller’s liability cannot be engaged in case of force majeure.
Personal data is processed in accordance with applicable regulations. Details are provided in the Site’s Privacy Policy.
The Seller may modify the GTCS at any time. The applicable GTCS are those in force at the time of the order.
The GTCS are subject to French law. In case of dispute, the Client should first contact customer service: contact@terravanilla.fr to seek an amicable solution. In accordance with the Consumer Code, the consumer may use a consumer mediator free of charge: CM2C – Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice or AME Conso – Association des Médiateurs Européens. The Client may also use the European online dispute resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
